Firstly, apologies to everyone who asked for one on the old system. I originally intended for the old system to work out because I figured i could probably afford to post 20 or so out if everyone donated a little bit.
I cannot afford to send 64 pendants all over the world without charging a set price. I am sorry for this because you all deserve free pendants but it cannot be done.

So the pendants look like this:

I have one more week to make them before my supplies of everything are cut off over the summer holidays (I can make more in September).

The pendants are approximately 40x40x2mm. They hang on a black elastic cord which loops through the top of the triangle meaning the pendant itself can be taken off and used for other things if so desired (keyrings, badges, etc). They have a rough, slightly glittery finish and all the line of the mark show.

I worked for a while on a price and eventually decided that factoring in cost of materials, cost of postage (which doesn't vary all that much across location, as it happens), the time it takes me to make (using a blowtorch in summer is not fun.) and the fact that paypal charges a fee on donations, a fair price is £5 ($8.20, €5.85).
If I was selling them in a proper shop or an e-shop I would add phrases such as 'hand made' 'limited edition' and 'collectors item' and charge £10 ($16.40, €11.70).
Any amount between these is fine.

If you aren't prepared to pay a minimum of £5, please reply to this post and I will take you off the main list and put you on a secondary list. This means you will get a pendant if i have any left over but they will first go to those who are prepared to reimburse me for the time involved.
The main List will not be in order of donation amount, it will be first come first serve for anyone prepared to meet the minimum donation.

I don't expect to receive money until you've given me the address for you pendant. Once I have your address that would be a good time to donate before I send the pendant off.

(I will be at the marmalade_fish picnic for those who don't have paypal but i can't give my address out to the number of people who had asked so if you don't have paypal or don't have a kindly friend/family member prepared to grant you access to their paypal account I can't get money from you. If you're paying at the picnic it is likely you won't get your pendant until the picnic. I would love to trust you all but whenever I talk to any adults about this they go 'you must get payment first!' and I cower.)

If you would like more than one, the charge still runs at £5 per pendant. I can't accept payment in fic or icons because much as I love them they don't help my depleting fund situation (I still need enough money to get to London for the August picnic).

I'm sorry about having to change the system when you were all getting excited but i seriously did not anticipate how popular these would be.

(If I have already asked for your address because I have your pendant, you are remaining on the old system because your pendants are all ready to mail.)

I will try and get pendants to the secondary list as well but there are no guarantees there. i feel really guilty but it was one of those moments when you open your emails, look at how many there are and make a small sound somewhat synonymous with *gulp*

So in the 6 weeks since I last posted an entry in this journal my life has exponentially grown in awesome. Admittedly most of the awesome had happened sicne Saturday evening when the livejournal community

marmalade_fishwhich is a comm for fans of the very awesome sarahtaleswho just published the very very awesome book 'The Demon's Lexicon' created a chatroom on which the could have a live read-along of the book with chat with the author.

What this meant, of course, was many enthusiastic fans pushed into Chatzy with their idol and it resulted in the most incredible craziness there has ever been. I was only in there for a few hours (read 6/7 apparently the whole thing lasted 12) but i still managed to make a lot of awesome friends and every time I've been into the chatroom since I've been involved in another of the best conversations ever. (:

But this blog is actually supposed to be about what happened on Monday when faerlanand I went to London to meet Sarah at a book signing. Some of the people from the chatroom were going too, we anticipated crazy awesome fun times.

With any luck, I'll go to a similar event with Cassie Claire in July. If it's even a tiny fraction as awesome as this event was, it will be completely worth it.

Hello blog!

So.. my life in rambles. I went to Switzerland over Easter where we stayed in a challet with the awesomest chef ever and we met Ben (The only person in the world who can say: 'But then you kept saying 'I lost the Game.'' without losing the Game in the process. The skiing was good (though 25% of our 8-person party were wounded on the first day.) and the hot tub was, at times, even better.

We came home from Switzerland via Paris (because someone had the bright idea of driving there) and were therefore with our cousins for easter which meant much chocolate, cake, playing of rounders and watching Prince caspian with such innopropriate comments as:
Lucy: Why doesn't Caspian just catch her?
Me: He's too busy looking up her skirt.
(Which, for the record, he blatently was)

Then I had a week when I should've been avidly doing all the work and revision I hadn't done in Switzerland but which I actually spent watching youtube videos, meeting up with Eyj once and failign to do anything productive.
I haven't written anything that wasn't for my uni course in weeks. Not properly, anyway.
Also, I don't seem to be able to write poems anymore. I keep trying but they just turn into songs so I have thousands of songs that I can't do anything with and no poems (which I could at least stick on PH)
Oh well. (:
I just spent far too much money to buy City of Glass  from the US before it comes out here all because I can't be bothered to wait until July and I don't like the Uk cover that much.

School is crap. As always. People keep revising around me which always makes me nervous.

New Year and a new low in terms of new year's eve. I mean, last year I thought it didn't get worse than slumped in front of the wide screen TV watching Zodiac with my dad and my brother.

That was before my evening spent alone in my room watching the beginnings of films on Sky (The ends resolutely refused to load) while my parents had some kind of party downstairs which just comprised of about 5 adults getting drunk. I went to bed at about half midnight, wondering why I'd bothered to stay up that long.

I agreed a while back to go for a walk on new years day. Yesterday I was told that we would have to leave the house at 1. At ten past ten this morning my dad bashed on my bedroom door to tell me that we were leaving at 11 because we had to pick up J from his party then take him into work and there was no possible way they could pick me up afterwards because there would be NO TIME to waste. I was very tempted at this point not to bother with the walk at all but mum promised there would be jacket potatoes at a friend's house at the end.
He then had the nerve to ask my mum why I was crabby getting ready...
We picked up J, we dropped him at his job then in our 'no time' we went for a coffee in starbucks... the hot chocolate wasn't as nice as Mcdonalds. Finally we got on the stupid walk... I listened to my ipod the whole way around and got mud all over my legs. It wasn't fun.
We went back for potatoes, mum and dad decided that we'd definately be free by 5 to pick J up. I had to sit in the kitchen for ages while the beans cooked.
We didn't leave until 8 o'clock after hundred of games of Hide and Seek (which I didn't want to play) with a group of people (who I wasn't in the mood to talk to) and i got attacked by a boy who I don't like who was trying to tickle my feet. I hope he still has the bruises.
I'm now completely exhausted and I haven't done any of the revision or the writing which i was planning to do today.I now have 2 new years resolutions:
1. Never go for a walk with other people again.
2. Sleep through 2009.

So... going with the 'start as you mean to go on' school of thought I am not looking forwards to 2009. I will apparently spend most of it tired, cold and in the company of people I hate. Yay.

Just dropping in to wish you all a merry christmas (two days late, but who's counting) and a happy new year (Four days early... I need to get better at this timekeeping thingy. Or is it five days early? Oh well... no one got me a calender for xmas. i cannot be blamed!)

What I did get for xmas was... books... quite a lot of books. Some of which i didn't ask for (Oh, and I liked The Summoning and am desperately in need of the sequel). I also got DVDs though, unfortunately, Heroes season 1 is refusing to co-operate with my DVD player because it's a region 1 box set despite the seller promising my dad it was region 2. I also got... a suitcase! To put all my books and DVDs into!

Books:

Jumper: Griffin's story - - OMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!! Anyone who watched Jumper should read this. Anyone who didn't watch Jumper should go watch it, then read this. It was so cute and Griffin was all Griffiny (without the actual growing of beak and wings... he was just cute in a human/Jamie Bell type way) and it made me watch Nicolas Nickleby just because Jamie Bell was in it and I wanted to see Griffin as a boy. (Cute!). Moog, I'm lending you this book as soon as I'm done rereading and rereading it. (:

Angel Sanctuary - - I've read one so far and it's happily making no sense at all to me (: I've got the first two (Might've got more but my cousins couldn't find any. My aunt apologised because she 'couldn't find any of that mingo you like... is it mingo?')

Dr Who Almanac - - My cousin loved it... he's the only one who's read it so far...

Night-Time - - Who cares if it's for young children? It has pop up pictures. And, even better, it makes noises! How awesome is that!

Paradise Lost and Paradise Regained - - Almost as hard to comprehend as Angel Sanctuary but I'm getting there and it's good. (Thanks Cat)

Doodle book - - V. cool, thanks Moog (: Been reading it and drawing penguins (that guy likes penguins...)

The Tales of Beedle The Bard - - Meh... more commentary than content... just meh...

I got a couple of other books but they weren't so interesting/I haven't read them yet. Too busy rereading my Griffin book over and over and over and over again (:

So yes, that was christmas all done for another year. I watched Dark Knight today (which did work in my DVd player) and I haven't tried Angel series 3 yet but I live in hope.

And I lost my ipod mini recently so I'm thinking of replacements. Do I get another Mini (I love minis (: ) or do I go all out and get an ipod touch?

I won NaNo, kinda surprisingly considering my pathetic attitude towards it this year seeing as i was writing it when what I really wanted to do was work on my hundred million other projects. I also, shockingly. finished the story it was about (complete at 50048 words making it one of the shortest novels I've ever written) which never happens.

Um, yeah, the rest of this year will be dedicated to Murtagh in the (possibly vain) hope that it'll be over before the new year so that next year can be entirely Icarus-centric. I need to rewrite, edit, grammar check and (fingers crossed) hopefully by the end of next year I'll be ready to send it off to a few publishers/agents and see what they think. Of course, that relies on me being dedicated enough to actually do it...

My life is boring. I hate all my subjects except DT (and I only like DT because we mess about in all the lessons) and I'm seriously wondering why I can't just drop out (Uni, gotta keep thinking about Uni) except I'm starting to think Uni migth be a waste of time because for, like, a 3 year course it'll take you twenty five years of earning money to pay for it. Cheaper to just get a job straight out except then i have to stop acting like a teenager which wouldn't be fun...
Gah! serious thoughts! Not good!

Went to see Wicked in London which was cool.

Have an update on my life. Not that my life is ever particularly interesting... I managed to become obsessed with a film off the Disney Channel after watching it on youtube at midnight. (Anyone else seen Camp Rock?) I have no idea why I like it but I can't get it out of my head.

Ooh, I finished planning Icarus last weekend. (Most people might think it's more helpful to plan a book before you finish it, but I disagree) and then this weekend i sorted Corvy so i should really be knuckling down and writing those.
Which, of course, is why I'm writing RS (: The one story that has no deadlines or goals.

The other day I set myself the crazy aim of finishing Murtagh before next year... never going to happen...

School... school... um... school is kind of schoolish. My subjects are mostly boring (except DT). Psychology's kind of interesting in subject matter but i hate taking notes while someone dictates to me (Bad memories of last year's english class... *shudder*) so that's the bad side. I think the psych teacher likes me... but that might be because I'm the only person in the class who seems to be learning anything.

I started an Engineering course today and managed to get the role of designer (we're making 5 stands for ceramic sundials) which was cool and also resulted in me designing our group logo/mascot. The Engineering Education Squirrel.

I think that's basically my life. I've started going for random walks with my ipod. (My mum was wondering if I was depressed... I just like the space) and I feel like I'm just waiting for University. (still years away) Currently I have no idea if it'll be good to get away from home and from everybody or if it'll just be annoying because there'll be people everywhere.

And I need to meet someone. Because I know, like, 5 guys and none of them are anywhere near decent... Maybe i should go clubbing...
